Unexpected Tooth Movement Under Bonded Retainers

This case illustrates the potential for unwanted tooth movement in a patient who presented with a 3-3 lingual flexible spiral-wire retainer in place. A retrospective 3D superimposition reveals a tendency for canine movement under a previous stiff-wire retainer that was not noted clinically.
