Digital Bonding Update

The 3M Digital Bonding system now includes select Smart-Clip SL3 self-ligating brackets, in addition to the Clarity series of ceramic brackets and the Victory series of low-profile brackets. Using the Oral Care Portal, an orthodontist can design a customized treatment plan with any of the three types of brackets, according to the company. All brackets can be ordered precoated with 3M APC Flash-Free Adhesive, eliminating the need to add adhesive or remove any excess after bonding.

Self-Ligating Brackets

The KLOwen Custom Metal SL Solution was developed to combine the benefits of conventional self-ligating brackets with the control of a custom prescription. According to the company, the low-friction and non-fatiguing brackets, which come in an .0195" slot size, offer shorter ligation appointments, faster initial alignment, and better tooth positioning. Customizable across all three orders, the bracket design enables control over torque during leveling and alignment.

The on-demand program features all Spark Clear Aligner options, including Smart STLs, integrated hooks, and the choice of either TrueGEN or TrueGEN XR material.
