Even on the basis of informal communications with our readers over the years, all of us on the editorial board had a strong sense that Pearls were among JCO's most popular features. Our more scientifically conducted online survey only confirmed that impression. As a result, we have decided to increase our emphasis on publishing Pearls - the eventual objective is to include one in each issue - while continuing to improve the quality and utility of these orthodontic gems.
