Clear Aligners

The Spark Clear Aligner System release 13 features integrated hooks to use with elastics for Class II or III correction and in conjunction with TADs. The new TruRoot feature allows the default library roots to be replaced with the patient’s roots as captured in a CBCT scan, thus providing better accuracy of root shapes and positions. Updates to the Approver software enable faster and more efficient workflows, according to the manufacturer; the integrated hooks and other attachments can be added, modified, or deleted without the need for change requests.

Light-Therapy Device

Lumoral is a home-use antibacterial light-therapy device used to reduce early gingivitis and plaque formation, prevent cavities, and improve gingival health without disrupting the existing oral microbiome. The combination of light-sensitive colorant in the supplied mouthrinse and the specific wavelengths produced by the device results in an antibacterial photodynamic reaction. According to the manufacturer, the interim results of a three-year study indicate that using the device as suggested reduces gingivitis and improves dental hygiene.
