The Miniscrew-Anchored Cantilever: A Simple Molar Distalizer
A device for “noncompliance” Class II treatment is easily constructed by attaching an .040" cantilever wire between a miniscrew and a molar headgear tube. Distal force is obtained from a nickel titanium closed-coil spring, while the direct skeletal anchorage prevents unwanted side effects on the anterior teeth.
