Closure of Mandibular Spaces During Retention
Extraction spaces often reopen within a year following orthodontic treatment. This Pearl presents a simple modification to a wraparound retainer, using a cinched nickel titanium wire in the labial bow, that can close a relapsed space in the lower arch during retention.
