Lingual System
Alta Smiles has introduced C5 Hidden Orthodontics, a low-profile lingual solution with orthodontic wires bonded directly to the tooth surface, requiring no brackets or aligners. According to the company, this comfortable, esthetic system reduces treatment time and eliminates dependence on patient compliance. Etch-Free Bonding
Ormco has modernized the bonding process with EtchFree Bonding, according to the company. The new adhesive eliminates the usual acid-etching step, in which the tooth’s surface is roughened, potentially damaging the enamel. Benefits include easier and faster procedures, a lower risk of debonding, and an improved patient experience. The product helps preserve enamel health, with no risk of burning or discomfort, and helps prevent white-spot lesions.

OrthoFx recently showcased Rescue aligners, the industry’s only treatment-recovery aligner system. According to the company, Rescue aligners are intended to simplify midcourse corrections by eliminating or reducing unnecessary costs and disruptions. The system is designed to enable the patient to return to the original treatment plan in two to three weeks, without office visits. Used with FXOnTrack, an artificial intelligence monitoring tool, these aligners can be shipped within one week.

Mints for Aligner Users
Movemints promote oral health and freshen breath while assisting in aligner seating, offering an alternative to rubber devices. The mints, which come in three flavors, fight bacteria, reduce plaque, and promote healthier teeth and gums, according to the company. The distinctive shape fits easily between patients’ aligners, enabling them to bite down to seat their trays while performing chewing exercises. Formulated with xylitol, they stimulate saliva to relieve dryness.
