Steam Sterilizers

Midmark recently launched its next-generation steam sterilizers in two sizes, the M9 and M11. According to the company, the new models include touchscreens that work with gloves for ease of use. Integrated features streamline recordkeeping to ensure instrument compliance. In addition, the enhanced durability, with a re-engineered chamber capable of running 25,000 cycles, halves the frequency of required maintenance.

According to the company, the system, specifically designed for phosphor imaging plates (PSPs), incorporates several solutions into a single product. Its bite blocks improve longevity by holding PSPs securely and gently in place, without the need to fold or compress them for insertion. This holder system is compatible with nearly all commonly used PSP systems and intraoral x-ray units.

Wire Cutter

CXOrthoSupply has released its new CX PRECISION Cutters. According to the company, the non-slip, matte finish on the handle improves grip. Diamond-honed edges enable cutting with only the tip of the instrument, improving access to hard-to-reach areas. The flat arm provides better “catch” of excess wire after cutting compared with round-arm cutters. The design has no adjustable parts, reducing wear and tear from autoclaving or mishandling.
