Fixed Retainers with Bonded Pontics

Retaining the opened space for permanent replacement of missing teeth poses an esthetic challenge, especially in young patients who eat lunch at school. In this simple technique, the authors bond temporary anterior pontics to a fixed retainer wire for a quick, in-office solution.
