This is an organizational Pearl that may very well save you many dollars a year. I carry with me, at all times, a small pocket calendar book in which I keep my appointments, but I also keep my "deductible cash expenditures" and the additional information: who, what, where, when, why, and how much. In doing this, a lot of small items (professional lunches, cab fares, office supplies, etc.) which are deductible will be remembered, recorded, and eventually deducted.
