Aligner Software Integration
Angel Aligners are now integrated with state-of-the-art intraoral scanning technology from Medit Corporation. According to the company, the aligners’ iOrtho treatment-planning software ensures a streamlined, highly accurate workflow. Other innovations include the angelButton (a fully integrated button for elastic attachment) and the A6 Mandibular Advancement feature.

Bite Corrector
The new Carriere Motion Pro bite corrector features a custom-designed drop-in hook to enhance treatment versatility. A wider, reinforced canine-pad hook ensures a consistent distribution of elastic forces, according to the manufacturer, while the deep undercut simplifies engagement of the companion Force Oral Elastics. Developed by Dr. Luis Carrière for both Class II and Class III patients, the bite corrector also incorporates a built-in scribe line, flat faces, straight edges, and a recessed dimple for more efficient movement.

Sleep-Apnea Appliance
Great Lakes has announced a partnership with OrthoApnea, developer of the NOA mandibular-advancement device for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. According to the company, the NOA comprises two low-profile splints that hold the jaw in a controlled forward position to facilitate breathing. Mandibular advancement is defined by the doctor through a progressive sequence of lower splints.
