Isolation System

The DryShield system combines a cheek retractor, airway protector, tongue and oral pathway shield, and bite block into one device. According to the company, the portable system is easy to attach directly to the high-volume evacuator to provide hands-free, continuous suction. The versatile mouthpiece, which is pliable enough to conform to each patient’s mouth, is available in either a single-use or a re­usable, autoclavable version.

Assistant Cart

Modular assistant carts from ASI feature three small and three large all-metal storage drawers, with a rail storage system that can be configured to suit individual preferences. According to the manufacturer, these procedure carts will complement existing equipment, allowing supplies and instruments to be kept close at hand. Other components include a durable aluminum chassis, an upgradable work surface, and quiet casters for easy moving.

Cloud Platform

CBCT images and STL files can be viewed, stored, shared, and optimized with cloud technology using XVWeb, a HIPAA-compliant solution. The platform also assists in treatment planning with imaging tools such as measurement, volume rendering, and panoramic radiograph reconstruction. According to the developer, the open-architecture design integrates with most major CBCT systems, and the data can be retrieved using any compatible device connected to the Internet. A monthly subscription includes technical support, updates, and yearly IT maintenance.

Curing Light

The FlashMax P4 Ortho PRO light-curing pen has been improved with a newly designed charging station for more secure contact and durability, as well as reinforced casting for better strength, according to the manufacturer. The slim, ergonomically designed cordless hand unit provides about 500 seconds of curing time on one charge, with three curing modes available for direct or indirect bonding. Adjustable 4mm and 8mm tips and bilateral control buttons allow efficient use in all areas of the mouth for maximum bond strength.
