Intraoral Scanner
More clear-aligner systems are now integrated with 3Shape’s Trios scanner. According to the company, its intraoral scans can be easily uploaded into the 3M Oral Care Portal for seamless planning and delivery of Clarity Aligners. Orthocaps aligners, already included in the Trios library, are now approved for use in the United States and are available through Rocky Mountain Orthodontics.

Toothpaste
Crest Gum & Enamel Repair toothpaste slows and reverses damage and erosion caused by plaque bacteria, according to the manufacturer. The foaming paste focuses its action at and below the gum line to reduce gingivitis and also permeates the tooth surface to strengthen and repair enamel. Two varieties are available: Intensive Clean and Advanced Whitening.

Appliance Cleaner
Dentibrite crystals are specially formulated without persulfates, alcohol, or dyes for gently cleaning clear aligners, retainers, and other removable appliances. The user simply mixes the single-use packet of cleaner in warm water and soaks the appliance for five minutes to remove plaque and stains and kill bacteria, according to the company; no brushing is needed. Each box contains a one-month supply of 28 packets.

Examination Masks
Made-U-Smile face masks have friendly, fun designs to enhance the patient experience, according to the company. The pastel masks, which provide ASTM Level 1 protection, are printed with smiles, moustaches, lips, and smiles with braces. They are available in boxes of 50 or cases of 12 boxes. A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
