3Shape has introduced upgrades to its CliniCare program for Trios users. The Patient Specific Motion tool scans and records the patient’s actual articulation, rather than estimating movements from still images. According to the manufacturer, this enables more tailored adjustments and treatments. The Treatment Simulator helps patients fully appreciate the benefits of treatment, since they can view predicted progress and final results onscreen and in color.

Data Hub
The Dentsply Sirona Hub data-storage unit automatically saves and backs up two copies of CAD/CAM data, making encrypted information readily available on any CEREC workstation in a network. The Hub also tracks open cases so each job’s current status is readily available, according to the company. Patient data can be kept up-to-date, too, because the unit easily synchronizes with Sidexis.

Intraoral Scanners
Data from Planmeca PlanScan and Emerald scanners can now be conveniently and securely exported to the ClearCaps and ClearCorrect systems, according to the manufacturer. The scans can also be integrated into the Orchestrate 3D software system for efficient file manipulation, design, and transfer.
