Many methods of distalizing molars have demonstrated their efficiency in recent years . The most difficult problem, however, is to maintain anchorage while the anterior teeth are retracted.

Combining an acrylic Nance button with a Goshgarian transpalatal arch , in our experience, allows the anterior segments to be retracted with confidence after molar distalization, thus accelerating treatment of the maxillary arch.
